Our kitchen

In Bionbo café gastrobar we believe that food is what gives us life, so we try to put the maximum of life, colour and heart in our recipes. We cook with seasonal and local products, many of them from organic farming and fair trade.

We understand that food is health, which is why we try to promote products that have an added value to our diet in a creative and fun way.

Our cuisine is informal, fresh and dynamic with Catalan roots that blends flavours from around the world, cooked by our experienced chef Xavier Aguado.

Where's the menu?

At Bionbo we offer two choices: a 11'50€ lunch menu from monday to friday at noon, and an exclusive tasting menu that consists of seven surprise dishes prepared by our chef Xavier Aguado, from Thursday to Saturday night and Saturday at noon, priced at 22€ (drinks aside). That tasting menu has tree starters, two main dishes and two desserts.

Because this is a surprise menu, once you make your reservation you will be asked if you have any allergy or intolerance to any product. Thus, we will adapt your experience to let you enjoy it the most.

Who we are

Bionbo café gastrobar is born from the desire of our chef Xavier Aguado to bring to the table his culinary curiosity.

After training as a chef in Edinburgh and various gastronomic ventures throughout Catalonia, he dedcided to take on the challenge of his own buisness, eager to express all of his culinary expertise accumulated over the years and share it with all of you.

Bionbo café gastrobar is in the area of Carme-Vista Alegre in Girona, next to the River Onyar and only 5 minutes walking from Plaza Catalunya.
